Default Would it be a bad idea to buy a toyota celica with 170k ?
I have really wanted a celica for a while and i found one on craigslist for 2200 with 170000 miles on it. My dad won't buy an expensive car and this is pretty cheap for a 2000 celica. Just wondering if I should even bother. Thank you!

the mileage is on the high side, but as long as the motor has been cared for it'll be ok















check owners manual for service intervals (past and future) condition of the oil and definitely take it for a drive to see if it drives nice















It may also pay to take it to your local AA and get it checked out if you are not that confident/competant to do so

Thats fairly high milage for a 10 year old car. If it's had a multitude of owners, I'd be concerned.

It's not a good idea to get ANY car with that many miles.































At the dude below me; With this budget you can't be picky. Yes, the Celica is more attractive than almost anything you'll find for that budget, but I searched used cars around my area and a 1999 Mazda with 90K miles has a lot more life left and is going to be cheaper to own with repairs farther into the future. I wouldn't suggest an older American car because it wasn't until the last few years they really got their act together. Although for
