Default Is 139000 miles a lot for a supra turbo?
I'm Interested in this car and I'm wondering how much longer it would last if i took real good care of it.

yes and no.































I say go for it, but there are a few things to look out for depending on the year.































the mk3 supras (1986.5-1992) have a bad habit of blowing a head gasket, so be careful, and change it to a MHG (metal head gasket) and you should be good to roll forever. just make sure oil pressure is always good.































also, you might want to check out tunemytoyota.com and make a profile there because we have mk3 supra experts there as well of help all the time.

Since you didn't specify which version you are considering buying, let me tell you that all of these answers are good answers. For what it's worth, let me just add that my neighbor had a 1993 twin turbo that he sold with 264,000 miles on it with the original engine/ transmission and it still had the original turbos. They last pretty long but like the first answer said, what matters is how it was cared for the previous 139,000 miles. That will dictate how much life the car has left in it.

That amount of miles is only ok if YOU are the one that drove those miles. That way you know if the oil was changed every 3,000 miles or not. Yes I know that all owners manuals these days say to change it every 5,000 miles but try it and when you pass 50,000 miles you will notice it looks like black mud after 3,000 miles (Toss the manual and change it at 3,000). It is very likely ready to die due to lack of maintenance DO NOT take the sellers word when he says it was well maintained.
