Static when I get in my Toyota?

Default Static when I get in my Toyota?
I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla and when it's dry out side (mostly winter) I get allot of static electricity. I use to own a 1990 Corolla as well and the same thing happend. Is there something I could do to stop this or at least slow it down? Sometimes this happens when I got to put the key in the ignition and I'm just concerned about it.































Any suggestions would be helpful, I don't know if static guard will work, or if there is something I can buy at a auto parts store? Help!

take a dryer sheet and rub down the cloth seat















it will last for about a 2-3 weeks















I didn't think that it would work but it does

All cars create static when you get out. It's because the person's body is being tossed around in the seats at all times. That is why you're supposed to touch the sheet metal of the car before you pump gas, or you'll get an explosion or fire.
