Dead chipmunk in my exhaust?

For the last week or so, after I drive for a while and the car has a chance to heat up, there has been just this horrific smell coming from car! Well today dog food flew out of my exhaust today when I started my car. I believe it is a dead chipmunk in my exhaust! What do I do! It is so bad stinky!

Poor little fella. You could take apart the exhaust and look for it but he might be snared up irretrievably in the muffler, meaning replacement. I don't think he could plug up the exhaust but my experience is rather limited with chipmunks. Try goosing the gas one good time in park, maybe that will blast him clear, (stand back while trying this) Or, drive on the highway for awhile he'll eventually dry up and and stop smelling. After all there can only be so much smell in one little chipmunk. I have heard of a gas additive that will make your exhaust smell like pina-colada. Hope this helps

Anything in your exhaust will eventually be fried up. Other than the tailpipe, it is hard to actually enter the exhaust system into the muffler. However, any pranksters in the area? You may be the subject of someone's trick. Go to a muffler shop and ask for an inspection - it's usually free.
