look in the owners manual if you have one and see if they have a way to troubleshoot the codes. if not, take it to a shop and ask them to do it for you. father son shops are usually alot more honest and will not rip you off. big commercial shops can tell you what is wrong but may charge you alot of money.
or your other option is to go and by the code reader for your car. parts stores do sell them and you can get the adapter so you can read it yourself. I have one and its the best thing I ever bought for my arsenal of tools. Your friends will love it too.
