1/ First are there any codes which are hard codes?















2/ Check to see if there is any open recalls on your vehicle, can get those from the Dealer.















3/ How many miles is on the car, if over 30,000 , replace the fuel filter















4/ Take the intake boot off your throddle body and clean inside of the throddle body with spray throddle body cleaner.















5/ Check all your fluid levels































These are the first things I would check, good luck

It could be a number of things. Has the transmission gasket, filter, fluid ever been changed. Checked the dip stick to see if there is form on it, smell it to see if it smells burned. It might also be what is called a shift solenoid. If it is your shift solenoid and not sure how many your tranny has. It/they are located in the tranny.
