Some sort of Toyota GT-Four (all trac) engine but you're probably going to need to replace the transmission as well. That's the only (probable) direct fit engine...it's a decent engine too. But it would be cheaper just to go with another (newer)non-toyota long block with transmission as it will last longer. The best modern 4 cylinder engine for swaps is the LNF (turbo) or LSJ (supercharged)...or if you know what you're doing you can use the 4 cylinder (or 3.6L 6 cylinder) from the 2008+ chevy malibu and add a turbo. All aluminum but can't go beyond 6psi boost on the compression ratio for the malibu engines.
Compression should be at 9.5:1 or below for any supercharged or turbo engine that you want past stock boost (around 10 psi). Anyone who tells you any different is a fool.
