Neither. Get a mid-size car. I got in an accident with my Mazda6 a few weeks ago and I've been driving a Kia Rio (comparable to Yaris) as a rental. Yikes. I miss my Mazda.































On the other hand, a truck would be too big. Get something that you can live with and something that is comfortable. Saving on gas money is nice but if you get a stripped down Yaris and that's your car for 5 years you will likely not be happy!

personally I can use a truck, right now I have a '90 toyota "tacoma' pickup 4x4 ext cab, and I love it. I am still getting better fuel economy than the dodge dakota that I used to have. As for the yaris, really have no need for it, but I am sure in the gas that you save after driving for a year probably wouldn't pay for the first 3 months of payments on it.

if i had to choose, i'd choose the tundra. but like other people said, they're both really different, but i don't really like trucks.
