We had a 1993 Camry LE (4 cylinder) that was great and had 211,000 miles before my wife and her sisters insisted on SUVs for safety (and before gasoline reached new highs) and we bought 2005 Highlander 6 cylinder AWD. Well I found out older vehicles are not used to sitting and it began developing recurring problems frequently that running to my mechanic began more trouble than it was worth bec we weren't using it on a frequent basis as I drive a 1998 Toyota Sienna XLE minivan bought brand new. Truth is, 15 years is too old esp for first car and if you know nothing about automobiles (which gauges to watch), what needs maintenance and when PLUS $3,500 is way too much bec the last time I checked on the Kelly Blue Book on our Sienna that is fully loaded with only 124,000 miles I think it was only $5,000 or $6,000 and we paid between $25K and $30K brand new.
Hope the Above Info Helps!
