Default Toyota corolla 2003 hissing sound?
I have a Toyota corolla 2003, and when the engine its cold and i start it, its start making a hissing sound, which its somewhat loud, it works perfect besides that thing, then again the sounds disappear after 30 minutes ~ 1 hour of running even if the car goes completely cool on the day it wont make it again, my guess could be that the oil when its cold its not working properly and once it heats up it gets stabilized and wont give more trouble later on the day, (till next morning with the same sound again), is there anything i could to other than take it in a shop?

it sounds like the serpentine belt. when it gets worn and glazed they make noise when they are cold. Spraying it with WD-40 will confirm if the noise goes away, but will not cure the issue. Replacement will be needed. They can be a pain to replace, so unless you are good with tools, it will need to go to the shop. The good thing is is that it is just maintenance and not a huge major repair. Good luck T&T

A hissing sound usaully means a vaccum leak

Probably a vacuum leak...which can sound louder or more quiet at different temperatures.
