Default My 2005 toyota corolla doesn't have a cig. lighter?
Hi,































I bought this car back in 2005 and it never had a cigarette lighter. It has the hole and a cap to close it but nothing else. I tried to buy the Cigarette lighter unit from Advanced Auto Part but turns out I need more than just the lighter. There has to be a unit which goes into that hole and then the cig. lighter will fit in that.































So I was wondering if someone can please let me know where I can get the whole unit and what it is called... I even looked on eBay but they had only the lighter and not the unit it goes in it...hope it makes sense...

A Toyota Dealership is probably your only place. It is NOT cheap at all. I would recommend just using a bic lighter.

What you're referring to is probably the 12v power outlet to charge your cell-phone and what not. To install the thing will probably cost more than you are interested. Just use a BIC lighter.

I don't know if it helps or not . But usually when you purchase your car (new) you need to have the smoker's package included , from my knowledge.
