it goes between the tube that curls into the intake and the other end bolts onto the head. The clip on one side is for the plug wires to clip into to keep them away from the hot egr tube and burning the wires--it should face outward. there are two studs and nuts holding that tube onto the manifold. the lower stud and nut on the egr tube is the starting point for the bracket. then push the support against the head until it lines up with the other bolt hole on the head.--Good Luck T&T
