1991 corolla vs. late 80's/early 90's 4-door accord?
I got into a couple of lil races with the same dude yesterday afternoon...
after the first one, we were at a light in the turn lane to make a left; he was in the inside, i was in the outer...
i have a 3-speed auto 1.6L 4afe; he most likely had a 4 or 5 speed, with maybe a 1.8L or 2.0L... i dropped it to first, light turned green, and i completed the turn at around 35-40 mph in 1st, bumped it up to 2nd and slammed to 60-65mph, then threw it in 3rd and was finally to around 70mph when he passed me, and i kept it up to 80 (which was about 3 or 4 seconds later)... this was all in a 40-50mph zone...
anyways, would you say the accords are faster than the corolla? it seemed as if he may have had a CAI, cuz the exhaust was more notable, but not as if he had a muffler...
all i know is if i had performance spark plugs, wires, header, muffler, and CAI, i'd have been to 100mph, and would have left him behind...
point is that i had him up to about 70, and we were both trying...
but would you say that, say, a 1990-1991 accord is faster?
