I'm looking for a used car and my friends told me that's a good deal. But I'm just wondering about the car itself? Is it reliable and safe? I don't care about features and stuff, just safety. The person who is selling me this car is a mechanic and assures me the car is fully checked and updated.































So....to buy or not to buy?

sounds almost too low. Can he show a carfax with no accident. do u know the mechanic? If so, fine. If not , anyone can say its in good condition! however it still should be worth at least 3000. how are the tires and things u can see? just things to keep in mind. hope u get what you feel u want and the price.

According to Kellys blue Book 2001 echo with 60k miles on it is worth about 7 grand. If you have more details about the car, you can get more accurate value and decide for you self. I hope it helps. here is the website http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/default2.aspx

Toyota Echo is a small economic car. So $3000 for 60k and good condition is very good deal.















the reliability of the car, its ok and safe.

With Gas above 3 dollars, that is a good price for an ugly car. Get a carfax it must have been wrecked or flooded because it is worth more in good condition.

Before your start signing any papers you need to get the car inspected by another that knows a great deal about cars not the mechanic that's selling the car because he could tell you anything. what if the car got into an accident, mechanics can easily hide information about the car or decide not to tell you anything, then once you buy it you car starts to produce smoke. also make sure you windows work and all that stuff because right after I bought my car the windows won't go up or down. good luck
