Is this a japanese classic? What's it worth?

Unfortunately, it is not as valuable as you are probably hoping for. A turbo MR2 in good condition is worth between 2 and 3 grand (non-turbo, $500 less). In fair or poor condition, they are less than 2 grand. Personally, I'm surprised they are not worth more as I think they are great cars. If yours is in good shape and low miles, you may find an enthusiast who would be willing to shell out a couple grand extra.
