I've never been sure why, but automobile marketers have always marketed four-valve-per-cylinder engines by exhibiting the number of valves they have overall as opposed to simply the number of valves they have per cylinder. A twenty-valve engine has five cylinders with four valves per cylinder, a sixteen-valve engine has four cylinders. Five cylinder engines are pretty cool, they run real smooth-like. I didn't know Toyota made any. Get a car with one of those.
