Question about 88 Toyota pickup?
Ok long story short, i ran my 88 pickup 4x4 a little too hard and cracked the block. The current (non working) engine was a 2.4L 5 spd 22RE. Now it needs a new engine, i know that and as of now the tranny is still in monderate condition.
What would you recomend as a replacement engine, that is strong and can take a beating? Im looking at other 22RE motors but im thinkin something a little more powerfull, any sugestions?
2) Also would a bigger/ stronger engine require me to upgrade the tranny too?
