How can I clean the moon roof of my Celica?

Default How can I clean the moon roof of my Celica?
I have a 2002 Toyota Celica. I bought her from a dealership a couple years ago. When I bought the car the moon roof was all foggy and filmy. The dealership said I'd have to replace the whole thing so I just left it as is. It really doesn't bother me because unless it's raining I usually have the moon roof open. But now I'm thinking about maybe selling her, if it was clean I'm thinking it would be a better selling point. So is there a way to clean it up? Regular soap and water and glass cleaner doesn't work.

any kind of glass cleaner, you might have to scrape the old tinting if there is any, that might be what's fogging it up.















aside from that, what are the specs on the car (trim, transmission, mileage, etc)? I've been looking for a celica about that age. i've got a 94 celica gt now but i've been wanting a newer one as they're easier to modify. send any info about it to me at rzr1000@hotmail.com

You can try anything you like. The tint on it won't be harmed since it is factory- meaning it is in the window; not on it. The dealer is right- you'll have to replace it. One of my Toyota Previas has the same issue on the rear moonroof. I've been trying to remove it for the last two years. Turns out that replacement is the only option. Check junkyards and do a search on toyota salvage yards near you. I'm sure that someone has the glass you need.
