Default I recently bought a 1990 toyota camary. All the windows worked except for the drivers window....
...What is wrong? I repalced the switch and now all the windows do not work as well as the locks.I checked the fuses and they all look good. Could it be a relay switch that caused the problem?

It's difficult to tell without seeing the car; but is it making a noise?















Most likely thing is a bad motor, next switch, and third just off track.

A real common problem for this model car is the door wire harness.















The wires break inside the boot where the wires flex each time the door opens(it has opened a lot since 1990). The problem will vary depending on which wire breaks. To test it, sometimes you can hold the switch while moving the door open or closed and the wires will touch-windows will move. A better test is to unplug the harness at the left kick panel(connector is blue i believe) and at the window switch and use an ohmmeter to test continuity of each wire. The wires can be repaired by adding a bit or replacing the harness-but that is spendy. Good Luck---T&T

First, take the switch back out and make sure both plugs are installed. I think you may have forgotten one. Next, look on the switch for a button that looks like a window with an "X" on it. If that button is in, none of the windows will work but the drivers. Push it once so the orange stripe is visible. That should make the other windows work again. Now, the drivers window will probably still not work and I suspect that it needs a new motor.

Toyota had a major recall on Camry's of this vintage for wiring harness if I remember correctly.The cars would lock and you could not manually unlock them.I would let Toyota verify that the recall was done and go from there
