If you are referring to the electrical motors in the Prius drivetrain, they are 3-phase AC induction motors. The MG2 electrical traction motor puts out 67 horsepower.

whats really interesting is how the valve timing can "artificially reduce" the size of the engine, using only what is necessary. considering it is pretty small in the first place.















the gas engine is the same as the echo, and i believe the XA and XB scions.
