Default Toyota 98 tacoma recall question?
Please anyone who has any information about the recall help me out...































I just recieved the recall letter with my vin # on it and am really hoping that I will qualify for the buy back value. I am planning to take my truck in for the inspection but want to know first the tests they will run on the truck.































The rust is on the body but the frame looks in okay condition. so my question is what are they looking for. What tests will they run and where on the truck.































I live right next to the ocean and almost all cars rust out here anywase. Any information will help. Just trying to better my odds of getting some $ back...

Most likely they'll use a hammer and start hammering at different points on the frame and if they produce any cracks or holes, they'll initiate the buy-back program for you. Or, you can cll your nearest dealer and ask them how they will proceed with the procedure.

If you got a letter then you have a minor recall that will for sure not qualify for buy back. Especially since all warranties are ended and it is 10 years old. Don't be a dreamer. It would be nice but....

they lift the car and inspect the frame,if they think its rusted abnormaly they buy it back if not you get it back,fram not body
