corolla 4ac backfiring after wash?

Default corolla 4ac backfiring after wash?
year:1987















Make: toyota















Model: corolla sr5















engine: 4ac webber carb































i just washed my engine and dried out my distributor because there was moisture in it. but engine is still backfiring out of my carburator...















i heard if your carb is backfiring it could be a potential vaccum leak...the car was running fine before i washed the engine then after it just backfires...































another thing too is my distributor has two open metal pipes that come out the bottom of it and im guessing which one goes to the vaccum line for the carb...im sure it was the pasenger side line but then again i dont wanna mess anything else up as it already is....

it wont hurt anything to Switch them it sounds as if you hav the vacuum advance on the wrong one
