look for blown fuses. they are under the dash by the driver's knees. also check in the engine compartment. there is a little black box with fuses and relays. with the car OFF, take out and check the corresponding fuses. look for a break in the little metal tab in there.
also if by any chance you had tinting done, or stripped out by using a blade, it is possible (very likely) that the blade cut the heating wire that runs through your rear glass.
also look for a relay market defrost or something similar.

the defrost lines are in a type of a circuit similar to old christmas lights. so if there is a break anywhere, it will only work to that point, if that because there must be a path for current to travel all the way to "ground." if there is a break, than there is no ground so current will not have a complete path to travel.
i have heard that "they" make repair kits for those defrost lines. i don't know who though.
