Default Toyota Yaris light steering problem?
Hi there































I have hd my 2001 Yaris Sr for about 2 years now and I love it apart from ONE thing. I think the steering is too light, especially at high speeds. I had it serviced last month but I forgot to mention the steering as my boyfriend said it is all in my head, but it feels a tiny bit hard to control on the motorway as it seems to drift easily. (Especially to the right) Could I b imagining this?































I skidded it really badly coming round corner (it skidded to the right) and my boyfriend just says ive become scared of it for no reason now..??

If it's pulling to the left or right, *abit* when you let go of the wheel.......it could mean your trackings out















































however, the toyota yaris has somthing called "speed-sensitive" powerd steering































what that means is, when you're driving slow, it's very light, so it's easy to park















but the faster you go, it should become more hard...makeing it more stable















































so it could be that, or yes...it could also be in you're head lol































ask a garage to put a diagnostic test on the power steering ecu....but make sure it's under the power steering ecu. as alot of garages don't know the diffrence "rolls eyes"

The steering has nothing to do with your skidding the vehicle around a corner. If it feels light or heavy is typically related to your effort turning the wheel.















This can usually be directly related to tire choice.
