Default 1986 toyota 22ret ecu?
is there a difference between the 22re ecu and the 22rte ecu if so what is the difference and will my original 22re wiring harnes fit the 22rte ecu. and what kind of performance cam would be best for lowend torque with a turbo.

big difference. the engine ecu for a turbo has to inject more fuel to the injectors during boost. there are additional sensors and circuits. They only had the turbo for a couple years--thru 88 for 22rte. I would check with TRD on the cam as the turbo had to spool up a bit to get the R's-so you dont wanna guess at that...the block had lower compression dished pistons to keep from detonating during boost.
