all cars that have a regular gasoline engine emitt:
HC = hydrocarbons, which is raw fuel (newer cars will emitt less of this than old cars)
CO = carbon monoxide, which is a byproduct of burning fuel (this is lethal if inhaled in large quantities)
NOx = oxides of nitrogen, this one is a litte complicated to explain fully here. but it has to do with how lean (less fuel) or rich (more fuel) a vehicle is running. the leaner a vehicle runs, the more NOx it emitts. which is very bad for the enviroment. most newer cars run lean, but right before NOx gets too high.
CO2 = carbon dioxide
