You could get away with it if you don't mind your speedometer being 3-4 miles off. The tires from the Taurus have a higher speed rating than the ones from the Toyota. The width difference is only about 3/4 of an inch more with the tires from the Taurus, so I doubt there will be any rubbing.
Also, you're probably going to have to buy new rims and have the old tires mounted on to them. That could wind up being up to $100 or more.
How old are the Snow tires from the Taurus? A lot of these Snow Tires lose their maximum performance at 6/32".
It could be more economical to either buy a new set or check Craig's list.
