Default I have a Toyota corrolla 1.4 2006 model, my front brakes are 50% good, rear are 80% .Shld
i change the front I ma looking foward to drive a 2000 km journey and making a return trip 2000km after a week. Should i change the brake pads before the journey or after

i suggest you should. when you brake, all the momentum is pushed to the front brakes, which wears out most of the front.

if the pads are 50 percent they should be ok if you drive normally without stomping on the brakes all the time. but for piece of mind it wouldnt hurt to change them and have your rotors machined.

You normally don't have to replace brake pads until they start squeaking.Even then you have a little more use in them.

unless u wore the first 50% off in 4000km.no...u are wasteing your money on something that doesnt need doing..
