How do I replace a turning signal light on the front passenger side of a 98 Toyota Carmy?

Default How do I replace a turning signal light on the front passenger side of a 98 Toyota Carmy?
I need to change my right blinker light on my 1998 Toyota Camry, and I cannot figure out how to get the cover off to even get to the light. I figured I might have to get the headlight cover off first to even get to it, so I unscrewed that but it wouldn't come off... Is there another screw on the bottom of it that I'm overlooking or am I just not putting enough force into it? Or is there a different way to get to the sidelight (i.e. taking the fender off)?















(1) I already tried to get behind the bumper to take it out... and I can't get to the sidelight nor can I figure out how to pull out the headlight.































(2) How would I take out the headlight to get to the pin??















okay so someone on another website said that there is a tab below the headlight that u have to loosen to pull the cover off... but that was on a 99 model... is it the same on mine??

ok, i guess what i really need to know before i yank out my headlight is do i need to take out the headlight or at least the headlight cover to get to my blinker so i can take off its cover, or should i just get under that cover and yank on that??

have u tried to come around from behind the bumper and try to get it out from there

i have a 98 avalon and i accessed my bulb by removing the headlight, which i dont think i had to do, but there was one bolt holding it in by the fender, and one pin of sorts keeping it in place. you would have to pull it forward and out to remove it.

These ones are toughies. Remove the phillips screw from the top, and find a sizeable hook-shaped tool and get behind it, giving it a hard yank. I struggled for a good 20 minutes when I first came across one of these. The senior tech walked by, grabbed my hook and gave it one hard pull, and it came right out.































Edit - Just so we're clear, if you're talking about the small, separate lens, then no, you do not have to remove the larger headlight first.
