I've owned 4 of them.
I haven't paid more than $1500 on any of them.
All were running, driving cars, in fair-good condition.
Get ready for the fun part though, whenever you need to repair them. Toyota no longer maintains replacement parts in stock for these vehicles. So, as example, a transmission will cost you around $4,000 through the dealership. ECU is another $1000.
Sure, you can buy used, but you usually end up having to replace the used parts again shortly.
They're great cars, but a pain in the *** to maintain.
