Default Toyota Paseo engine type?
I have a 1994 Toyota Paseo. It has alot of miles, 201,896 to be exact. Does anyone know if this car has an interference or noninterference engine? WITH PROOF OR SOURCES? The timing belt isn't broken, I just want to know if I should take it to a shop and get it changed as preventative maintenance, or if it will be okay if it does break. If it's a noninterference engine, it should be okay. But if it's an interference engine, then the engine will be no good if the timing belt breaks. The valves will hit the pistons, and bend the valves.

The Paseo engine has a clearance engine. (Most Toyota engines are.) However, if there is 201,896 miles on the original timing belt, you should change it as soon as it is convenient.
