Hi, anything stuck in the tread will give you the sound that your describing, get someone to roll the car slowly and someone else to check the tread, if u find nothing, then remove the wheel and check.when you've got the car jacked up before removing the wheel, spin it to see if it still makes the sound, if it does, it means that its not the tyre and that its probably either a wheel bearing or brake fault inside the brake drum.It could also be something inside the tyre from a previous puncture repair. If it doesnt make the noise when spun, nor can u find anything in the tyre, it could be a bulge or damaged sidewall, and the easiest way to check is spin the wheel when jacked up and look at the gap between the wheel and the ground which should remain constant, if it goes up and down, u need a new tyre.Good luck. p.s. make sure you jam the front wheels with blocks before jacking as you'll need the handbrake off to spin the wheel.
