Does the Toyota Corolla make a "tin can" noise?

I used to have a Honda Civic and it always sounded like a tin can riding on the freeway and it was very annoying. I've heard the Toyota Tacoma gets this same effect on the freeway where there is alot of wind noise and it overpowers conversation or radio being listened to along riding on the freeway. Does the Corolla have this same issue and also does the Corolla have good pick up on the freeway and what not?

Everyone has different expectations with regards to noise, power, etc, so descriptions like "good pick up" are subjective. A person who had an old Beetle will think it's fast, the guy with the Ferrari will find it to be horribly slow.

The only way you can find out if the Corolla meets your needs is to drive one.

I have an '03 corolla and it's simply horrible on the freeway. It's only good for as a "grandma car" to get groceries down the block, but on the freeway, the noise is an issue, and also it doesn't grip the road very good, i always feel like i'm preparing for takeoff. the ride is very choppy, you get thrown around on turns, and engine power is not so good, you literally have to mash the pedal to make a pass. brake response slacks. and generally i don't feel safe going @ high speeds.
