the high lander is the better deal ,you,d like it a lot better than the rav-4,it handles better and does better overall then the rav-4 does,either vehicle is good but the highlander is a better built vehicle,good luck.
Rav4 is smaller and more fuel efficient. It's not really about getting a better deal it's about getting a better fit. If you've got twin 12 year old boys and your family has a reputation of hitting 6'2" by the time they are in high school you won't want a Rav4. Though when you are 16, not planning on having kids for 10 years, and not planning on having kids over 5'4" for 20 then you can buy a Rav4 and reap the fuel economy benefits.
I know what you're talking about. The RAV4 with the V6 and the Highlander. The Highlander is the better buy. A 4 cylinder RAV couldn't even match a Highlander. Also, to the answer talking about the responsible choice, the Highlander is available as a Hybrid.
