Why were you made so damn ugly? Beauty is in eyes of beholder. If yu need a good lookig car to impress people then you have more problems thenyou think. The Priusis top resale of ANY vehicle made (Forbes) and is only true hybrid with synergydrive. Purpose is comfort and MPG along with reliability ect. If you are in need of compensating for something get a kit car with VW engine.

FYI the shape of the 2nd-generation Prius is purposely designed that way, because that is the most aerodynamic shape for a midsize car with a drag coefficient of just 0.26.































Normal trunk sedans typically have drag coefficients in the mid-0.30 range, and boxy SUVs like the Hummer H2 is 0.50-- just about as aerodynamically efficient as a brick.































That's why the 2nd-generation Prius has better gas mileage than the first-generation trunk-sedan Prius, even though the 2nd-gen is bigger and has a more powerful drivetrain.































Only the compact 2-seater hybrids and electrics have a more aerodynamic shape with drag coefficients of 0.25-- The Honda Insight and the General Motors EV1. If you don't like the Prius shape, you would positively HATE those two.































That's how cars engineered primarily for fuel efficiency need to look like. Look at the Honda FCX Clarity-- At a distance you might mistaken it for a Prius.

During a recent training session I had with Toyota, they noted that the biggest complaint about our other hybrids (Camry, Highlander) was that when they were driving them, people didn't notice they were hybrids. Supposedly, they'll actually be releasing more models based on the Prius in a weird "sub-Prius" category.































My guess? They're so ugly so people will know they're driving a Prius. There's certainly better looking Hybrid options from Toyota at this point, but they don't get much attention at all, huh?
