Default 1995 Camry Fuse Locations?
I have a 1995 Camry and my backup lights will not come on even though I just replaced them both with new bulbs. I also checked the assemblies, and there does not seem to be any problems. I bought the car used and I do not have the owner's manual, and I am unsure where to find the backup lights' fuse. I have checked under the hood, under the steering wheel, and under the passenger side glove box. Does anyone know where I can either find the fuse or find an online version of the owner's manual?

Check behind the coin holder to the left of the steering wheel..































Squeeze the side tabs and remove....































That's where they are...































Make sure your parking brake is on, key is in the on position and shifter is in reverse when checking the light..































The actual switch is on the top of the transaxle. It can be tested.

I had that problem with my Camry as well my girlfriend's '95 Camry too and it is not the fuse:































The backup lighting problem occured when two backup light wires to the backup lights broke at the trunk's left hinge area behind the trunk's liner (years of opening and closing the trunk cause the wires to bend all the time until it finally break). I added and soldered new electrical wires (about 8" long) to that broken backup light wires section, wrapped the exposed soldered wires with electrical tapes (heat shrink tubing is better), wrapped the backup light wires wire with section of old bicycle rubber tube (to prevent the wires from being chafed open) and fastened the bike rubber tube with zip ties. The backup lights worked just fine again in my Camry and my girlfriend's Camry.































I made these repairs more than a year ago and never had any problems with the backup lights ever since. Broken electrical wires near the left trunk hinge is very common with 1992-96 Camrys.
