How secure are glove compartments?

Default How secure are glove compartments?
Hey,































I regularly store valuables in the glove compartment of my car if I need to carry them with me.































I just wanted to know how easy it would be to break into a glove compartment with a simple lock on it? Is it actually safe to keep things in there or would it be better to hide them in some other part of the car? If so any suggestions?

The glove compartment is not safe at all, it can be opened in less than 10 seconds with a screwdriver. Never leave valuables there. lock them in the trunk if absolutely necessary.

This is not a good place for your valuables...Your basic tweeker looking for something quick can get it open in seconds...If you have to store valuables in your car put them in the trunk...It,s a little harder to get in there.Plus it,s out of sight...
