Default Hard starting after a gas re-fill on my Toyota Camry 1997 model?
I experience hard starting after filling up my tank. I never allow my fuel level to drop below a quarter tank. What can be responsible?

Probable fuel sending unit or fuel pressure regulator.

Sounds like you're engine is flooded with petrol when you pump the accelerator on ignition. Is it a manual? It could be other things too like old spark plugs, cracked HT leads, bad starter motor, faulty solenoid, etc, etc.. You should really get a service, toyota's are real easy & cheap cars to fix.

bad gas or maybe you should check your fuel filter, it will need to be checked before winter anyways. It may have water in it from use. Add some fuel cleaner to the full tank and see what happens, it's the cheapest way to start.

simply fixed find you fuel system pressure relief it looks like a valve core on a tire mounted on the fuel line. Find something to press the nozzle in. Have a friend turn your key forward not to start the car but to the running position. Be very careful because fuel should eventually spurt out. It sounds like you have a little air lock. That is the first thing I would try before taking it to a garage or spending any money. Especially if you crank the engine alot when you ran out of gas. If the vehicle starts while bleeding the lines just shut the engine off. and replace the cap on the relief valve and you should be good to go. If you repeat this process and get no results you may have other problems. When you get a steady stream of fuel you should be able to start the car
