Default my brake light is on in my 1988 toyota celica gt please help?
my brake light is on in the dash board, but i checked my brake fluid and its fine and my emergency brake is down. does anyone know what else i should check? thank you

could be nothing just a lose wire cause your car is old but maybe your brake pads are low and its warning you.

for your case, I will highly recommend you to check your car right away. Brake light on could be your fluid in your brake hydraulic system is low which is very serious (no brake no stop!!) Check the brake fluid level.

on my 90 supra i had to unplug the fluid level sensor on the master cylinder cap the light went out so i got a new cap solved the problem

its no wiring problem, check your brakes their low or their warped and probibly low too.
