manufacturers claim they give more horsepower, but you would need a dyno to prove that. Later models they weren't good for the Hot wire type air flow meters because the oil the filter is treated with can contaminate the sensor- but your car has a MAP sensor, so this wont be an issue. The real issue i guess is whether the price is worth the benefit, but thats always the case with any performance part. For regular street driving I would just 'run with who ya brung'--ie; just buy the factory filter every 10-15k. Good Luck Sparkbolt
