Default Toyota Celica 2011? Any news?

Well, theres many speculations about the new celica. If that's what it'll be called. Read couple things on sites, and it says it's coming in germany first then to america. Anyone heard further news about the car? or if even it will make it to production?

Every time I go to training, somebody asks this question. What they are telling us at the Toyota Centers is that they have a team of engineers working on the new design, but it's a backseat project. Supposedly, the grab engineers off of the Celica project whenever they need some to develop a new model. If you check this page:

The FT-HS is what the Toyota guys are telling us is the current concept Celica. I don't know anything more solid then that, though.

The car you're probably referring to is the joint project with Subaru. Both companies are building their own 2 door coupes that will be rear wheel drive only. They'll be powered by a 200 horsepower 4 cylinder turbocharged engine. The price target is about $20K. The Subaru will supposedly debut first in the fall of 2010 with the Toyota coming in spring of 2011.
