Default On the ceiling of my 2000 Solara, right above the rear-view mirror...?

there is something that looks like On Star or something like that. What is it? It doesn't work and hasn't in the six years I have owned the car so I am assuming it is something I have to subscribe to? I don't have an owner's manual and keep forgetting to ask when I take the car in for routine maintenance.

It is something called Homelink which have programable buttons that can be linked to your garage door opener. It is a bit techi to try to figure out-but is basically a built in opener. This is from my owners manual:-----

The garage door opener is manufactured

under license from HomeLink

and can be programmed to operate garage

doors, estate gates, security lighting,

etc.

(a) Programming HomeLink

The HomeLink has 3 buttons and can

be programmed to operate 3 separate

devices.
