I lost my keys to my Toyota Corolla. How should i get one made ?

Call around to all the key shops in your area. You should be able to find atleast one who has the ability to open the car, remove one of the door locks and cut a key by using the code number stamped on the lock.































Cost for this should be $150 upwards. Get extra keys made right then and there. Should only be $10-20 per extra key.

Go to a Toyota dealer with your VIN number, and some proof of ownership. They will have a new one cut for you (not sure on the cost)

Call a locksmith to come over and cut you a new key, then go to the nearest hardware store and have extra keys cut. Walmart is about the cheapest. The locksmith will cost about a hundred dollars or less in most places. Walmart keys are about a dollar to have cut, if you already have a key to copy.

Easy question dude!! Dont worry, this has happened with me once!































Take a thin steel ruler and slide it down your driver seat window from the outside (do this by sicking the ruler between the door and the glass and driving i down). Make sure that you do this somewhere close to the lock; VOILA! The lock will open!

Merc hit the nail on the head. the dealer can make a key for you with just the vin# and proof of ownership. It's cheaper if it's not a transponder key. If it is a transponder key then it'll be expensive an time consuming.

Most keys now have a chip in them, If you do you need to call the 1-800 number usually on back of your Manuel,or call a Toyota dealer near you to get the number. They in turn will call a locksmith to have a key made. You will need the Vin. number off your car when you call (The number on the dash by your windshield).

My wife lost all the sets to her Toyota, just go to the dealer with your registration form.
