Default 2008 Toyota Highlander 4x4 or all wheel drive.?

How does this car handle in the snow? Would you rate it bad, good, or great?

The Hilux Surf is not a Highlander; it's a 4Runner.

That said, the Highlander is not a 4x4. It is AWD and built on a car platform. Nothing about it is heavy duty, but for winter driving on snowy roads, and I would rate it as 'good'. Viscous-coupled AWD systems are very forgiving on snow and the stability control systems help keep it all under control.

The 2008 Highlander is made in a front wheel drive or an all wheel drive configuration.

There is an on demand system. You do not need to turn it on or off. The system defaults to 90% of the power to front and 10% to the back wheels. If the system feels slipping the power is diverted up to 40 % in the back.

The Highlander has many other safety systems that contribute the better handling and traction.
