corolla 92 as my first car. any thoughts or suggestions ?

so my dad got me a rolla 92 for 500$































the car is old as me, made in same year same month. its kinda funny































anywho this is my first car, anything cool about this car, anything bad about this car?































oh and when i saw it the front seats had two seatbelts, one was a lap seatbelt, and than there was another one that goes over your shoulder. is this normal? because the back had a standard one you see in cars today.

i know they last a long time, and they get good gas mileage cause this is a v4. some people dont like the lap belt so you dont have to wear it in these cars i guess must be one of the added features back then.

Those seat belts are normal. Reliable car if maintained. Nothing cool about it other than good gas mileage.

well its good on gas, the seat belts are normal, and change the timing belt, and the water pump right away, i had a 93 geo prizm which has the same motor as the corolla 1.8L and the water pumps are known to fail, and if the car has over 70k miles on it, change the timing belt. but my geo ran up to 260k miles, change the oil every 3000 miles with mobil1 full synthetic, do a tranny flush, and get new tranny fluid, and give it a tune up every 10k miles and it will run 4ever

its a good starter car, reliable car providing routine maintenance is done on it, and its great on gas.
