from what i have read, it works very poorly, and alot of the time the sensors cut out, and will stop the car, so you will have to reposition the vehilce and try again. I was over at the Toyota dealership picking up a part, and they were demoing one of these, and it was the slowest thing i've seen, it wasn't at all like the commercials, and in the comercials they even say they speed the camera up in small print. seeing that demo made me realize how pathetic people are in the sence where they would want to wait upwords of 10 minuts for a car to park itself in something that can be done in 20 seconds. if the sensors are dirty the signal will continue to cut out.

If the car is equipped with the system, it becomes active when you place the car in reverse. There are little radar sensors that detect if an object is near the rear bumper by audible beeps heard in the cabin of the car. The beeps become faster and more intense the closer the bumper comes to an object. The system is very effective at reducing blind spots, but can not substitute common sense and your own two eyes.

If you are thinking of the system where the car parks itself, that system is only available on the top of the line Lexus LS with an $80k price tag!! Good Luck!
