Default Having an early mid-life crisis! Can anyone recommend a Toyota Celica?

Good mid-life crisis car? Apparently very reliable, and pretty sexy to boot

Ha ha! Got the tattoo last year!

And if I win the lottery a Skyline is second on the list

If your a girl, then yes a celica would be a good car to get.

ALOT of girls drive celicas, (they are good looking cars though) but If your a guy, go for a Honda Prelude (97-01) they are good looking too and have ample power.

My friend (male had one) but it was 7 years ago. It was a lovely car but a bit dated now.

Make sure your pocket doesn't get hurt...heard about the car tax imlications for cars up to 7 years old? Invest in a new set of clothes...much cheaper and you'll feel great...!!

Get a Prius. Your midlife crisis will pass, but unless you get the right car now you will be back in market trying to solve other crisis (two kids and not space in celica).

I have added a site which i often send people too,as me and the wife use it often. Its a free site and has owners and not sellers reviews on different models of cars and at least you see the good and the bad points.

http://www.carsurvey.org/model_Toyota_Celica.html

There are 406 reviews to give you an idea of the car itself.

My friend owns a 97 version and loves it to bits and has had no problems with it at all,and i was shocked how roomy it was front and back.Nice cars there are few variations of models also with a turbo version also.

Good luck with the mid life crisis,my wife is going through hers atm.and looking at getting a Nissan Silvia S14a for hers.

Also she wants a tattoo and is changing her wardrobe.

I had a 91 model, and loved it. Other than replacing 2 tires, no maintenance costs. My only problem was my dates wanted to drive when I took them out. One note--When I got T-boned, the Air bags did not deploy.

i have a year 2000 celica and highly reccomend it. The only problem ive had in the 5 years of owning it was a squealing

auxillary belt. The celica is very reliable even when pushed way beyond its designed perfomance. I have the 190bhp version and run a 50bhp nitrous conversion which was done 3 years ago the engine still sounds as sweet as a nut and no rattles or strange noises whatsoever. I also owned a 1994 celica which i had for 4 years only thing i ever needed to change on that wasa HT cap and rotor arm.
