Default Toyota Corolla or Matrix, which would you choose?
I am going to buy one of these two. Which is better based on room, comfort, dependability? Which would you buy?

Dependabilty/build quality is the same, there are basically the same car. I would by the Matrix however, it has more room, looks better, and of course, more room equals more comfort. Go with the Matrix

They are basically the same car. Matrix is also the Vibe. It does offer more room, and you can get the Matrix with an AWD system if you so wish.
