Default Toyota Corona starts on key & cuts out when starter motor stops?

just fitted new water pump.. car now starts when you turn the key but cuts out when you let go.. Had this problem before with a Chrysler Valliant years ago & was a fusable link.. Is this the same problem or is it the relay for the fuel injection??

anyone had the same problem??

Sounds like a bad link. Run a jumper power wire to the coil and see if that fixes it.

Your fuse labeled "ignition" is blown.Locate/replace "ignition" fuse.

The fuel pump relay has 2 ways to turn the pump on. One is from the ignition switch while cranking (this part of the system is fine) and the other is from the airflow meter (it sits above the air filter) I suspect you have left the plug off the airflow meter or the hose between the meter and the throttle body. The relay needs to see that meter working to keep the fuel flowing. Replace the plug, or the hose and it should be fine.
