Toyota tundra engines?

Did toyota make the engines for the 08 tundra themselves or did they get someone else to do it?I've heard some rumors that they contracted dodge to do it.

No, all of the engines are made by Toyota.

Are you kidding? Toyota makes all their own parts. Dodge uses 30 year old technlogy that is why they are cheap and have no resale. In 60's they bnought cummunings from Ford and still use the HEMI engine which is not very up to date.

Toyota makes its own motors, whether you're talking about the 4.0L, the 4.7L, or the 5.7L (all of which are available in the Tundra).































And just in the interest of limiting the further spread of false information, Dodge doesn't own Cummins and never did. Neither did Ford.
